17th December PORC Race and Van Jump
I have permission from Lifestyle Ford, my transport sponsors, to jump over their long wheel base Transit. The van is out on rental most days, but is booked out for me to jump over on Sunday 17th December. P.O.R.C. Race day. I plan to jump the van between the first and second race runs.
This could change, depending on the weather. I will only attempt the jump in reasonable conditions as I am not interested in committing suicide!
My plan is to make a short movie of the Downhill race and jump, which my school are happy to show during assembly, to the whole school. Perhaps also to show in schools local to the venues in nationals next year to advertise the sport.
I know other riders out there are capable of this jump. It’s not about how high or long the jump is, it’s more about letting people see the level of skills we all need to ride in the Nationals. Perhaps they might pay more attention to our sport and have a better understanding of the ability required to ride Downhill.
Please come along on the 17th and take part in the race. Help lend a hand to "BIG UP" our sport and see if we can do our bit to support Downhill in the UK.
